About Us

The Southern Forests Freshwater Angling Club (SFFAC) is a not-for-profit recreational fishing organisation based in the Shire of Manjimup, in Western Australia’s beautiful Southern Forests region.

Established in 2021 by a group of passionate local anglers, the club was formed in response to challenges affecting the region’s freshwater fishery. Since then, SFFAC has become actively involved in projects and initiatives that improve fishing access, encourage responsible angling and support the long-term sustainability of our freshwater environments.

Our club brings together individuals and families who share an interest in freshwater fishing. We provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where experienced anglers and newcomers can connect, exchange knowledge and enjoy the sport together.

SFFAC promotes fly and lure fishing through a range of club activities. Members can develop their skills through fishing competitions, social gatherings and practical workshops covering fly tying, casting techniques, fish handling and other freshwater angling skills.

With access to a locally stocked dam, the club provides an ideal introduction to freshwater fishing for beginners and a relaxed, supportive place for experienced anglers to refine their skills. We also organise activities that encourage members to explore the outstanding freshwater fishing opportunities available throughout the Southern Forests.

Whether you are an experienced angler or picking up a rod for the first time, SFFAC offers an opportunity to learn, participate and become part of a friendly and committed fishing community.
