About the SFFAC
The Southern Forests Freshwater Angling Club (SFFAC) is a not-for-profit recreational fishing organisation based in the beautiful Shire of Manjimup, nestled within the Southern Forests region of Western Australia. Established in 2021 by a group of passionate local anglers, the club was founded in response to local challenges impacting our freshwater fishery.
SFFAC is dedicated to promoting and enhancing freshwater angling in the region through hands-on involvement in projects that improve fishing access and sustainability. We bring together individuals and families who share a genuine interest in freshwater angling, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where members can connect, learn, and enjoy the sport together.
Our club promotes responsible fishing practices and encourages skill development through a variety of activities. Members are invited to take part in fishing competitions, social gatherings, and educational workshops covering fly tying, casting techniques, fish handling, and more.
With access to a locally stocked dam, SFFAC also provides an ideal introduction to freshwater fishing for newcomers, and a relaxed, supportive space for anglers to refine their skills. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just starting out, our club offers a rewarding opportunity to explore stunning local fishing locations, share knowledge, and be part of a vibrant, committed community.
We remain focused on the long-term sustainability of our fishery and proudly work with community partners and stakeholders to support the future growth of freshwater angling in the Southern Forests.
